Rotherham Juniors A avenged their earlier defeat by Barnsley fielding a much stronger side in a topsy-tervy match.
Two quick wins on boards three and four by Rotherham Juniors gave them a good start.
There later followed a draw on board two and two Barnsley wins on boards six and eight to level the match score with two games left to play.
On board four Barnsley were winning and the top board was unclear.
A draw was offered on board four and turned down only for black to blunder and enter a lost ending. The top board saw blacks queenside pawns finally advance which won our opponents the game and the match.
